Isaiah 21:11
Who is a watchman? Or who are the watchmen? And what are the duties of a watchman? Brother, sister, many are going or shall go to hell because of some watchmen. Many are perishing or have and shall perish, that is, people are in conditions or states now that they wouldn’t have been, if the watchmen would have done their job well as required of them. To know, all ministers, or preachers of the gospel are God’s WATCHMEN, unto His Church. They are shepherds, who have been given the rod and staff, which all types the WORD OF GOD, to keep watch over the flock of God ( Acts 20:21,28). If so, are they to make money out of the flock or lord it over them? No! but that they take heed unto themselves, first, then unto the flock and feed them with the word of God. The right doctrines of the Bible are they to feed the flock with. Nothing of their own make-up. So Paul told Timothy in 1Tim 4:16 “ Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.”
Look at how important it is, before Timothy could be saved and his hearers or followers too, he as the watchman must take care or heed unto himself, then unto the doctrine which have been committed unto his trust and not only that but to continue in the doctrine, not to change it for any other, but continue! Otherwise, his flock and himself have no life, no matter what they try to do. See how serious the matter is? Where are those watchmen who think they could do anything and get by with it. Call them to come and see their doom and where they are leading their flock to. Even Timothy, is not to introduce anything new, but to continue in them. No thinking, feeling, and suggestion (Jer9:12-15, 13:10).
You see why I said many ministers shall send a lot of people to hell, now? Because, if a BLINDMAN-the minister who doesn’t continue in the doctrines of the Bible, but begins to feel, think and suggests that, “though the Bible has said it this way, if we do it that way there is nothing wrong”, LEADS the blind, YOU, the sheep who knows no better.
The Bible says, you, both the shepherd and sheep, shall fall into a ditch. And that ditch is the bottomless pit, hell or Hades. You see? You sit down to say ‘there is nothing wrong with it’, ‘I was born into it, and-so I can’t stop’; ‘my church is the oldest’. See, Jesus didn’t ask us to stay in the church, but in His WORD! (John 8:31,32). That’s why He told the watchmen to hear and take the words at his mouth and give warning to the flock. Ezekiel 3:16-21. But what do we see of today ministers? Our so-called prophets, what are their visions, what do they see? They see visions of peace, prosperity, of the color of your room and underwear. Nothing of war or of warning (Ezekiel 13). Shame, unto them all. They can’t judge what is right. (Lk 12:54-57). The Bible says they have become dumb dogs which cannot bark-they can’t speak against sin.
They are blind. You see? What is the conduct of the blind? He is always feeling, thinking and suggesting. He thinks he is going to the kitchen, meanwhile, he is heading to the toilet. So are these watchmen of today. It also says they are ignorant. What? Hmm! Ignorant? Wonderful. Upon all their theological experience, the Bible says they are. Just like those Pharisees, they don’t know the Bible. All they know is their theology taught them in the Bible schools.
No wonder Jesus said, “Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying, Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. But ye say, Whosoever shall say to [his] father or [his] mother, [It is] a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; And honour not his father or his mother, [he shall be free]. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.[Ye] hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with [their] lips; but their heart is far from me.But in vain they do worship me, teaching [for] doctrines the commandments of men.” – Mtt15:1-9.
Isn’t it the same of our so-called ministers today? They rather condemn things that are good and praise those that are rather evil. Isaiah 5:20, 21. And Paul said they have a form of godliness but they deny the power thereof – 2Tm3:5. The power that transform lives and changes character, proving that the resurrected Christ is alive and his Spirit, now in us. They have a form of Christianity, but they are not. They are still the same. They profess that they know God, but in works they deny him– Tit1:16. Men of reprobate minds, full of lust, fornication and adultery, gamblers and idolaters. Their fruits testify what they are, for by their fruits ye shall know them. They are only making a profession without a possession. Just like Jacob taking up Esau’s body. Christianity is everyday’s life. Not today am and tomorrow am not. O what a pity!
Let’s continue with our subject. The watchmen are sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber– Jer10:21. And they are greedy dogs. They don’t feel for the flock, they are not sparing them at all. They are only interested in their wealth, no concern for the flock-(Acts20:28, Jer23:11-40, Ezk13:4). Meanwhile, their duty is to take heed unto the flock and for that matter the Bible says their lips must keep knowledge, so that the sheep can seek the law, the word, at their mouth-(Mal 2:7). They must have or tell the people the mind of God. So that we can ask watchman, what of the night? Or why is the world in this condition? Why because they are the messengers of the Lord.
But what have they done? They have departed from the way and have caused many to stumble. If you go to hell blame your pastor. Because they have corrupted the covenant that God made with them. They haven’t kept the true and full word of God. But that is what we are to do, have full teaching of the word- Mat 5:17-20, 1Cor 8:1-3, 1 Tim 6:3-7; 5:20, 21. Because of their so-called theological and scientific knowledge they feel they are above the word of God (1Cor4:6) and they do as they please. But the apostle Paul said “if any man…” any man is any man, it can be a Pope, Cardinal, or whosoever. They are accursed if they preach anything contrary to what they preach anything contrary to what they have already preached. If so then all their hearers too are accursed.
Pastor, Apostle, Evangelist, Prophet and Teacher, are you a faithful servant? If yes, then feed thy fellow servants with the spiritual food in due season- (Mtt24:45-51). And you my brother and sister, the Bible is made for us also to read, so that we can know the right watchman and also it warns us as sheep to draw away from those fake watchmen, who are not true. (1Tm6:3-5, 2Tm3:1-5, Rom16:17,18, Rev4:18)
You better come out before it’s too late. There is no life in any church or Pastor but in the WORD! Why not keep heed to the word and turn away from your IDOLS- those things you have leaned yourself upon. To be frank God is not in those things. God is not in clamor, great and beautiful things, but in simplicity. Those things you would not regard or respect. 1Cor 1:17-31. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. For salvation is an INDIVIDUAL affair!
