Great is the mystery of Godliness

What mystery are we going to talk about? And what is mystery itself? Words are not there or used in vain, they have meanings. Great is the mystery… what is a mystery and what mystery are we going to talk about? The dictionary says a mystery is something that is difficult to understand or accepted, wonderful. That’s the dictionary. The Biblical meaning also is a hidden truth. The thing is a truth but it is hidden. How are we going to know it then? Or see what the truth of it is? And almost everything or every Word Spoken in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation is a mystery or there is a mystery in it. The sin that Adam and Eve committed is a mystery. Until today some people, even so-called great evangelists in the world don’t even know. They can’t just fathom it.

Yet Jesus had said it in Matt 10:26 that “fear them not therefore, for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.” Jesus was saying this to His disciples and He used the future tense that shall not be revealed; and that shall not be made known. See? This was referring to the future, the end time. So in this end-time we need not to have or talk of any thing as a mystery in the Bible; for everything shall be made known or revealed in this last days. And really it has. There is nothing hidden now. But it is to them that he has chosen to reveal them to, (Matt13:10). You say, what? Yes. Do you believe that we’re in the last days or at the end time? Then Jesus said in the last days through the ministry of A SON OF MAN, a prophet, He shall reveal to the world, those that are ready to accept everything that has been hidden in the Word of God ever since. Do you believe that? Rev 10:7 “But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets”. Is it true that God had told His servants who are the prophets, that there shall come a prophet, a messenger like they were, who shall come to reveal the mysteries, even the mysteries that were not made known to them, though they spoke about it? Listen to what was told Daniel “but thou, O Daniel shut up the Words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end : many shall run to an d fro, and knowledge shall be increased”

Do you see another blow, straight to the future. That, at this end time many shall go about to seek knowledge,(1Tm6:20,21) worldly knowledge, but this Book, the Bible would be sealed , not with padlocks but spiritually. See what makes it a mystery. The truth is just glaring, as clear as it could be, but men through their school of thoughts, seminaries experiences can’t see it. But at the end time God shall raise up a man to bring out the truth of It.

Let’s see one of these mysteries that is revealed. In 1Tim 3:16. Paul, once a Pharisee, a student of the law knew Jehovah alone as God but something happened which changed his way of thinking and seeing. Listen to what he says now, “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”That is without any shadow of doubt, knowing actually who God is, or once was and forever shall be, it is very difficult to understand or to explain.(2Cor5:16, 1Jn5:20, Ro9:5) Why is he saying so? He was so shocked and surprised. Really amazed.. For before his conversion on his way to Damascus he saw a light and as a student of the LAW; he has studied to know that, that Light was the Light or Pillar of fire which was following the children of Israel in the wilderness. You say no? Listen to 1John 1:15 “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” You get it now? God is light; that is why no one know can see Him or has seen Him before. You still can’t believe it, then let’s go to Jn 1:6-11 “There was a man sent from God, whose name [was] John.

The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light….” Look at that light in your Bible, it begins with a capital letter, He is not talking about just a light but THE LIGHT, that is a proper noun. The article THE is used. “the Light.” That is a definite article, talking about the ONE and only TRUE Light. See? You say no? Let continue with the verse 8 “He was not THAT Light, but [was sent] to bear witness of THAT Light. 9 [THAT] was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.” He says the true light, and there is ONE true Light which is God, the immortal being that no man can see or has ever seen You say what? Read – 1 Tim 3:16, Exo 33:17 – 23, Rev 1:12 – 15. Are you getting to know THE TRUE LIGHT now? Listen to verse 10 “He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.” Do you see why I say that GREAT IS THE MYSTERY? Who created this world. Gen 1:1; Jn1:1,14. There you are. The ONE who was saying let there be light and there was light. Came into this world but the world knew Him not.

But Paul who was a Jew and a Pharisee, taught about that Light when he saw it and couldn’t hesitate to ask “Lord, Jehovah, that sacred name they couldn’t mention, YHWH, those four Lettered name substituted for ADONAI, was that Light he saw …. So he also asked “LORD who art thou?” To hear sacred the name or JEHOVAH; to his surprise he heard “I am JESUS, whom thou Persecuted”. Let me just pass this through. Do you know that the Jehovah’s witnesses who claim that the name of God is Jehovah yet claim it is not and say that Jesus is God but He is not the ALMIGHTY? From their own books: 1. What does the Bible really teaches. 2. Make sure of all things hold fast to what is fine. These books claim so. But, if Jesus is a (smaller) god; then we have two Gods . Meanwhile, the scripture says worship no other god apart from me. For there is no god beside me and I the Lord your God am a jealous God. (Isa44:6,45:5; Deut4:35) If Jesus is a God, then we are serving two Gods; as Christians or Jehovah’s witnesses. But, the Bible says “ye cannot serve two master, either you hate one and LOVE the other”.

So looking at the conduct and character and claims of the Jehovah witnesses they LOVE Jehovah more than Jesus; but look at the characteristics and attributes of Jesus, they can’t deny Him completely, so they act as if they LOVE Him and they try to say good things about Him. But within their hearts they don’t serve Him or they don’t LOVE Him. That’s right. Immediately you make or say Jesus is a God but inferior to the Father you become an idol worshipper, like the Romans. Jesus Christ is the mighty and almighty God and there is no-one else. He is the one and only. The scriptures prove it, Isa 9:6 say He is the “the mighty God?” Not just mighty God or a mighty God, but “THE MIGHTY GOD” and who is the mighty God? You know that ‘the’ is a definite article which refers to the one and only thing there is. I am not trying to create a doctrine but to hold a faith in high esteem. Yes, right. Rev 1:8; when John saw Him among the candle stickles, He opened up His mouth to speak “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the ALMIGHTY.” What is the book of Revelation all about? Rev 1:1. It is all about the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Why revelation of Jesus Christ because there is a mystery about Him. And a revelation is to unfold, uncover, to make known what was Hidden see? Jehovah in the Old Testament claims to be alpha and omega claims to be ALPHA and OMEGA and here stands Jesus in the New Testament claiming to be so.

That’s the claim for almighty He said… “the almighty” see? It would sound incredible but that is the gospel truth. That’s why Paul says it is a great mystery can you afford to believe that God who was that great light who appears to the children of Israel on Mt. Sinai that they couldn’t stand His presence was this Jesus who came into the world some 2000years ago. The scripture says that he was. What do you have to say about it? It says, the Bible “with God all things are possible”. You might think it incredible but to God it is. So Paul said “and without controversy great is the mystery of Godliness”. Why? For he said “God was manifest in the flesh justified in the spirit…” Justified is to be declared righteous. And the Spirit confirmed it. For He said “This my beloved Son, Here ye Him”. Why hear Him and not Jehovah; if He was just a mere man or just a prophet. No where could anyone quote of Jesus as a prophet using “Thou saith the Lord”. Have thought about that? For all the prophets came with “thou saith the Lord”. But here stands Jesus, “ye have heard it said to the people of the old… but I say unto you” Who said to the people of old? And who is He now telling the people or speaking to the people out of His own power and authority. Mt:7:28.

Can you believe it now? This tract can’t contain it all if we’re to go further to talk about why God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. You know that names bears responsibility. Just understand it this way write to ask more questions if you are still not convinced; or come and let is have fellowship around the Word and study it well. God bless you for reading this tract.
